Pontoon Rental
Pontoon rental is only for guests with reservations at Kettle Moraine Lakehouse.
Rental Packages are based on house rental reservation length.

Kettle Moraine Lakehouse Pontoon Rental Agreement
This Pontoon Boat Rental Agreement, is made effective between Kyle Rate, hereinafter referred to as the "Owner," and Lessee (“Renter”). The agreed rental terms of this contract are set forth in this contract.
The Renter agrees to return the rental pontoon boat and any accompanying equipment in the same condition as received, by the checkout date and time as set forth in the Kettle Moraine Lakehouse rental agreement.
The failure of the Renter to return the subject rental pontoon boat at the specified time may constitute an unauthorized taking, in which case the Renter will be fully liable for all associated legal fees, costs, and expenses.
Boat and Equipment
- Equipment included in rental: Pontoon Boat and 10 life jackets
- The Owner confirms that the boat and all equipment listed are in good working condition and agrees to provide all necessary instruction and safety guidelines to the Renter for proper operation.
- The Renter agrees to use the boat and any accompanying equipment responsibly and in accordance with all operating guidelines and safety instructions provided by the Owner or as required by law.
Responsibility
- Renter shall be responsible for and will pay for all damages to and losses of rental pontoon boat and/or equipment during the term of this lease agreement, regardless of the fault of any other party for the duration of the rental time.
- Smoking and Fires on the boat are not permitted. This includes grilling or cooking.
- Please keep the boat clean and free of garbage and debris. DO NOT throw any garbage overboard and into the water.
Fueling
- Renter agrees to leave a gas can (provided by Owner) filled with gas upon return of the boat.
Boat Operation
- Renter is not to operate the rented boat under the influence of alcohol or any other drugs
- Renter is not to operate rented boat outside of Kettle Moraine Lake.
- The rented boat shall not be used to carry passengers or property for hire.
- The rented boat shall not be used after dark.
- Driver of rented boat must have valid drivers license and/or boater safety certificate. Renter and any other persons who will be driving the boat must provide Owner with a copy of their drivers license at least 24 hours in advance of rental date.
- The rented boat shall not be used to carry passengers or property in excess of the rated weight capacity listed on the boat.
- The rented boat shall not be used to tow or propel any other boat, tubes, skiers, or wakeboarders at any time.
- All Wisconsin boating laws must be followed at all times.
- All Kettle Moraine Lake regulations must be followed at all times.
- Renter is not to use the boat in any race or competition.
- Renter is not to operate boat in a careless or negligent manner.
- Renter is not to remove the motor from the boat for any use whatsoever.
- When boating/docking in shallow waters, make sure motor is at the proper depth.
- The rented boat must be tied off in the front and rear at all times when parked at the dock.
- In the event of an accident, Renter shall notify Owner immediately or as soon as possible thereafter.
- Renter agrees to be personally responsible for any fines incurred due to the violation of such laws or regulations or negligent operation of the rental pontoon boat.
Waiver & Release of Liability
The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold the Owner harmless from all claims, losses, expenses, fees including attorney fees, costs, and judgments that may be asserted against the Owner that result from the acts or omissions of the Renter, Renter’s guests, and Renter’s invitees, during the rental period. The Owner reserves the right to take legal action against the Renter for any breaches, which may include damages, legal fees, and court costs. This Agreement shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any legal proceedings related to this agreement will take place in courts located within the State of Wisconsin, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon.
Renter acknowledges that boating carries inherent risks, and agrees to waive any claims against the Owner and indemnify the Owner for any liabilities arising from the rental, except as expressly stated in this Agreement. The Owner shall not be held liable for any personal injuries, property damages, or any other liabilities that may occur during the rental period.
I have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions of this contract made with Owner and I understand that I am bound by these terms.
By purchasing a Pontoon Boat Rental Package you are agreeing to the terms as Renter named above.
